Hey guys, I'm new here. I recently inherited my uncles original owner 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora with the 4.0. It's all stock and we had plans to try to built it up to 300hp-340hp.
He since passed and I am looking to learn. What would you guys recommend?
He was going to throw a turbo on it until he looked at the compression rating on the engine.

Some items that have been tried by people here over the years........ 1.Corsa exhaust system. corsa.lmperformance.com/ does not make this for the 2001 Aurora 4.0, but the Cadillac systems of the same year can be modified to fit. 2. Larger throttle body. Stock is 75mm. There should be an 80mm one that will fit. 3. Freer flowing Mass Airflow sensor. 4. And be sure to use 93 octane.

All of the above items will give a noticeable power increase. Someone who did all those mods on his 2002 4.0, Aurora40, got his car to run in the 14s. Email him for details. He doesn't show up here anymore.

I currently hold record at 14.17@96mph without a 80mm TB... From what I thought RSM made the 80mm TB , but they went out of business years ago.
My setup is a Corsa exhaust, ported intake manifold via dremel, a polished throttle body via dremel, no CAT, bigger Y-pipe connection, 93 octane and a madtuner PCM.
