Got an almost rust free 1995 Aurora with 120k about a year ago. Did a head gasket test before I bought it because Northstar. Checked out good. Really like the car but it's been sitting in the driveway for a bit. Bought some parts, replaced some stuff but have a lot more to do. It's my project car, not my daily driver.
She likes to stall when coming to a stop. She started to miss and I had fuel coming out the exhaust. Had a leaky fuel injector, replaced it. The others looked good. Had fuel leaking from the regulator, replaced it. Still has a slight miss and still stalls. I think the fuel took out the cat. She sounds constipated now.
I was changing the oil and saw 2 wires dangling. I want to say they were by a motor mount? Don't remember, haven't had time to get back under there. Think its the wiring for the crank sensor. It's also hard to start sometimes and it would explain a miss and the stalling, right? Probably going to replace both along with the pigtails. Think it's this wire Crank sensor connector
I think the coolant temp sensor and/or wiring is bad. If I turn the car on and let it reach temp, shut it off and turn the key forward the needle pegs to the red sometimes. Heard its hard to get to.
Going to do the spark plugs and wires. The wires look like they've been replaced but they have some cracking by the coils. The plugs have been replaced, they used Autolites. I got the delcos.
Shortly after I got the car the blower motor starting not working intermittently. It's getting power. Got a new one. Does the PCM need to come out on the 95 to replace the blower motor? Looks like a tight fit.
I have no code reader for this weird 1995 GM car. Anyone recommend one?
