Any alternative replacement to a 1998 Aurora shift knob? Mine is not staying in place. Is finding a stock shifter knob the only fix?

I know the 2g shares a direct replacement with a Cadillac... but I dont know about the 1g, I am sorry

Like it's lifting up? Check the very front of the handle in the notch you might just be missing the c-clip

Yeah, on the front face of the knob, there should be that c-clip, actually a staple, that holds the knob in place. If it's just pulling loose, it's not really broken, it's just not retained.

Mine is actually broken... The c clip part is broke out of the knob. I'm going to try a 1998-2002 Oldsmobile intrigue shift knob. It uses the same style c clip .
