Its due to the changing demand. Everyone wants big vehicles nowadays. SUVs crossovers and pickups are dwarfing sedan sales. No one wants a sedan anymore. I would actually blame GMs poor sedan sales on its lackluster designs over the last 10 years or so but hey that's a matter of opinion I guess. I might be forced to buy a foreign car brand when I do eventually have to replace the Aurora as I am a sedan guy myself. Unless I get a Tesla or something.

I know where you all come from. I personally think the 2g AURORA looks atrocious but I would same GM's poor design for bodies really came late 90s till now. Some of those newer ones look OK at best. Well they are gone now anyway, heh.
But like you two just noted, GM, FORD, etc are just handing over our potential new car sales to foreign companies. Honestly, after driving a 2006 Sonata, it by far is nicer as a sedan than a 2006 LaCrosse.
Yes that's why i went to Volvo not as practical as Aurora but as safe as aurora compare to other cars.
