Ebay ads say there is now way for me to use a new key fob. Claims I have to take it to a dealer? NOT gonna happen...
Anyone know how to do this?

Well, you don't have to go to a dealer. But you will need the use of a GM Tech 2 (or other capable scan tool/programmer), no way around it...

I *just* did this about 3 weeks ago. You can buy the correct fob from an ebay supplier, just make sure that the frequency is right.
Once you do that, Tigger is right: Tech 2 or any good scanner that has the reprogram key fob function. Ask your local wrench if their scanner has that capability. You *dont* have to go to a dealer. My reprogram cost was a case of beer.
