ok, so here's my rant... threw the dreaded P0446 code and cannot pass emissions. replaced the vent solenoid, purge valve and had a smoke test done. NO LEAKS! so now i'm under the impression that it's an electrical issue. Anyone have any idea of where to begin to find this stupid problem? I'm getting a donor PC to rule that out. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

There's a big relay on the firewall - passenger's side in the upper left corner. That's the relay for the air pump. remove it. There are 2 circuits on the back of the relay. 1 is the trigger the other is the power to the blower motor. The lugs for the power are huge in comparison to the trigger terminals.
Turn the engine off. Short the big terminals in the plug. You should hear the motor run. If not - bad motor. If so, use a continuity tester (ohm meter) to verify the circuit (coil) inside the relay for the trigger. Open circuit - bad relay.
Hope this helps. Doing the same thing here. Bought a new relay from rock auto for $17. Just put it on and cancelled the trouble code. Wait a couple days to see if it comes back... Wish me luck!

I appreciate the response, But I don't understand. Are you referring to the secondary air pump? My secondary air pump is bad and not working. I'm replacing it with a more updated model that actually leans to the side.
The P0446 code is a generic EVAP system code that doesn't pinpoint is effective part. Like I stated above oh, I already replaced purge valve, the vent valve Eagles and did a smoke test... I have a feeling I might have a bad computer or some type of electrical failure...

From what I'm seeing you might try removing the plugs from the computer, spraying them with contact cleaner, slathering dielectric silicone grease on them and them replacing them...
Where is the computer on these cars? I'm going to do that too.

There is only 2 issues with this code one its the purge solenoid or the bad plug for the solenoid. I dont think you needed to change other parts. It happen to me as well i put new solenoid got code back tested the connector and it was an issue if i wiggle it and it will start working. I replaced the connector and issue went away.of cause any tubes that going to the solenoid might be restricted as well . www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dfj-F_pTj5M
