Can anyone recommend a decent set of front struts. Maybe something that will bolt up from a different chassis like the Lucerne? Bonneville and DeVille both run the same struts. Even if it's for the same car, just something quality. I tried running the KYB Sr 4090 struts but they are straight garbage! So I need to replace them after around 5,000 miles on both cars. One car I could understand, but both having the same types of issues? Not only that, but they have both been replaced under warranty and still seems to be piece of ******* struts. Sorry about the rant, just frustrated is all.
WOW! QC over at KYB must have really fallen off lately, haha! I've been running the SR4090 strut assemblies for 5 or so years now (~30K miles), no complaints here. Disappointing to hear yours needed to be replaced at less than 5K.
What issues are you having with the KYBs?
I guess if I had to pick another brand, I'd go with the OEM AC Delco. Monroe second.

Yes had same issue with KYBs as well. I use AC delco once dont have no issues.

I am writing in Search of assistance with a problem with one of your products. I purchased a pair of SR4090 complete struts for my 2003 and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora vehicles. 4 struts in total. I have two Oldsmobile Auroras in case it was not clear. Both cars are experiencing problems. Both cars have had struts replaced under warranty and the warranty replacement has failed as well the strut mounts make a lot of noise when the car is in motion. They also make a popping sound when turning the steering wheel. They make a metal squealing sound like metal rubbing together when there is strut travel (up and down) and they do not provide a decent ride. It is a very rough ride. I need to speak to someone regarding this issue as I am completely disappointed with the type of product your company has put out. I paid more for your product in comparison to your competitors because I have purchased products from your company in the past.
