What controls or shuts the window motor off when the window reaches the full down position? My window bangs when it
reaches the full down position. Help!

Possible its issue with the window regulator not so much with motor.

I'm almost certain the door module detects the current change when the window reaches full open or closed and cuts power...
Unless the motor is running after the window is fully open or closed, I'll second Paul, probably a worn/loose regulator.
