So about a week ago I was blessed with the acquisition of a 1998 Olds Aurora with a exhaust and nothing more. I am still impressed. What should I do next as far as getting it top notch on a fixed income.. :/

Welcome. It all depends on what is wrong with the car, what shape it is in, and what you are looking to do

Far as performance, learn your Northstar interchamgability and go shopping!

Rust is the keyword, a clean car is usually worth fixing up . A rotted car is seldom worth fixing . Rusty metal can be treated on an otherwise clean car. Good Luck , watch your speedo, these cars creep up in speed .
