Deville 2001 steering swap for my 03 Aurora. I have got the parts, but I already have a backlog of things to do on the car... The reason I am tempted: the heated steering. - Aurora have a cruise control lever, this has buttons on the wheel; not sure how much compatibility there is with the wiring - Will there be provision for enough amps over the +12v for the heated steering in the existing steering wiring - That Caillac emblem has to go

The cruise control may be the least of your worries, just a matter of rewiring what's there...
Fairly certain the heated steering wheel feature is it's own circuit. It includes a fuse, relay, heating element, temperature sensor, switch, AND it's own control module. Safe to say none of this is provided for in the Aurora. Not saying impossible, but you're gonna need some schematics and donor parts bro, haha!
Nice upgrade if it works, good luck!

You are right. While the heated steering module is located in the steering itself, it seems to be powered through 2 separate wires, different than the cruise/fan wiring connector... and then, there's a dedicated fuse and relay, but for these two - I am not worried. Curious to see how I will be able to make it work
