I am interested in installing an aftermarket headlight switch or 2 toggle switches (1 for parking lights, 1 for headlights) which ever is more feasible. I would like to maintain the MFS high beam and turn signal functions. I have the MFS ripped open and can see that the headlight switch has a rotary like mechanism with 4 wires (black/white=ground, brown=headlight switch return?, gray/black=parking lamp switch signal on, yellow=headlight switch signal on). The switch above the headlight switch controls the beams not exactly sure how it works and also has 4 wires (red=fused output (BAT), light green=headlight high beam, tan=headlight low beam, light blue headlight relay output (N.O. Contact)?). I'm not sure how to wire the replacement switch without pissing off the LCM and to preserve as much of the original wiring/system as possible. Any ideas?

I ended up snipping the headlight light switch wires and ran them into a 3 position toggle switch with 3 poles. I connected the ground (black/white) with the brown (headlight return) to the center pole of the toggle and connected the the other 2 power wires to the top and bottom poles. This restored the lights to OEM function when the switch is in the off position; the headlights will turn on automatically with the light sensor at night and remain off during the day. The head lights or parking lights can be turned on during the day with either on position of the switch.
