Hello guys,
I'm just new to this forum and thank you that we have a place to discuss about our car.
Anyway, I've inherited a 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora V8 from a friend. Since it is now snowing here in Canada we've changed the summer tires with winter tires. The original tire size of V8 4.0 is 235/55R17 and we replaced it with 225/60R16, it seems to fit very well I even drove the car and it's good.
I've no budget right now to buy new winter tire and rims. Would it alright to keep the 225/60R16 on my 2002 Oldsmobile AUrora V8?
James

The 225/60-16s will be fine. That's the stock size for the V6 Aurora!
And welcome!

If it's not an OLDSMOBILE, then "I don't want it".🧐

wouldnt the final drive ratio prefer the taller tire or is the 17 inch tire the same OD? he is behind a 4t80 not a 4t65 but generally speaking, i think the most side-wall/rubber on a wheel possible that fits your brakes is the best thing no matter what EXCEPT if you are performance minded and want less flex and handling. daily drive? 16s. your tire buying will like you
