I noticed in my 2001 3.5 v6 Aurora that the previous owner had used black electrical tape to bind two wires (perhaps with some kind of sensor underneath) to the rad hose on the driver's side. Have any of you ever seen or done this? When I look up the temperature sensor on Rock Auto, for example, it's the usual kind you screw into the engine block somewhere. Just wondering...... thanks for any thoughts......

Previous owner must had heating issues, so probably had a 2nd thermometer to monitor overheating, I'm just saying...🤔

Can you follow them and see where they go? Can literally be anything.

If you keep your wires warm they are less likely to be cold and will be less stiff when you go to play with them on your next hack job project. If anything, your PO was a thinker if I ever saw one.
