So yesterday I was trying to figure why my horn doesn’t consistently work. I turned my car off let it sit and pressed the horn maybe 5 times and then on the 6th try it honked now I’m not sure if it’s a shortage because it worked after that for another 2-3 honks and den went out again.

i would check the horn itself first put 12v to it and it should sound if it does than issue behind the airbag maybe someone removed airbag before and now something in the way of the horn assembly

Probably corrosion in a connector, on the relay, or on the horn sounder itself. One of mine has the same issue - when the car is on, the higher voltage of the alternator can allow it to generate enough current to get through the increased resistance of corrosion, but on battery power alone, it's barely a chirp. There are 2 horns on the car, if neither make noise, I'd start at the relay. But if you have a single tone that works, check the wiring at the other one that doesn't.

I would guess a clock spring issue. Once I had to bend the contact of the connection from the horn button up a bit on mine so it would make consistent contact with the clock spring.
