Hello, I’ve owned a 2003 Aurora since 2015. I store it in a garage under a cover and it looks and runs great! My daily driver since 2016 has been a 2005 Cadillac DeVille. It’s time to send it off to the junk yard sadly and I wanted to know what I can salvage off of it for the Aurora. I have to take my mechman 240amp alternator off anyways and undo my sound system. I was thinking the coil packs should be compatible and easy to take off (I can not keep the entire engine or car!). I’m keeping my K&N air filter as a spare and I’m taking the hood ornament as a keepsake. I’m also keeping my agm battery. I would appreciate any advice on ld8/l47 compatibility. I’m not a mechanic, just a diy’er I suppose, but I do have the 2003 full service manual and a gm tech2 diagnostic tool. Btw, my new daily driver is a 2013 GMC Yukon Denali. I’m pretty excited about it. The Aurora and Yukon are both white diamond paint with neutral/tan interiors. I keep going off on tangents, but any parts advice would be appreciated!

I was thinking the coil packs should be compatible and easy to take off (I can not keep the entire engine or car!). I don't think so, they went to individual COP in '04 instead of the 4 coil "cassettes" from '00-'03. But if it's going to the junkyard take 'em anyway, haha!

You can cross reference parts on rockauto as well. I'm not sure between those two years as they're a good deal apart.

Thanks for the info, you’re right about the differences. Man I’m going to miss my DeVille. What a big fun reliable cruiser that was. I checked rock auto, good to see they have the Aurora coil packs.
