Ok, the OEM mufflers are obsolete. So, what mufflers fit these cars? Most muffler shops around me are not offering me very many options on getting a muffler to work.
Any suggestions, part numbers or places (Midas....etc) that can offer some type of muffler that works?

Back in April, I was able to get a pair of mufflers for my 2001 4.0 at www.ebay.com/str/partsanytime And www.walkerexhaust.com lists mufflers for the 2G. The right is P/N 53515. The left is P/N 53516. And I think that there's a possibility that Cadillac DHS mufflers from the same year might fit if the inlet tube is shortened.

Thanks. I found the left and right on eBay and got them ordered. I'm starting to rethink owning this car. We have two of them. Parts are obsolete and it's starting to cost us a small fortune to get replacement parts. Then having 2 of these cars is starting to break the bank in keeping them running and able to pass inspection so that we can even drive them.

A lot of parts are same as cadi or buick just because on GM website it say its no longer available doesnt mean its not. Rockauto pepboys etc have tons of parts for those cars. Only issue might be body parts at times but mechanical never had an issue finding a parts. Tons of parts even fit from Pontiac Boonville buick lesabre etc.

I had a similar problem. My mufflers had rusted out so I replaced them.
On my 2001 I went with flow master 2 chamber mufflers.
On my 2003 I went with cherry bomb glass packs.
Two entirely different exhaust notes and I love them both!
P.s. both cars had the resonator deleted and both are running high flow cats.
