It's been so long since I've logged in or posted here that I am putting myself back in the introduction thread.
Had a 2001 Aurora v6 that was totaled on my wedding night back in 2012. You can search back in the forum under my username and see pics and some of my old posts.
Since then I have moved from Nebraska to Texas, and then Japan. I will be moving back to Texas January 2022!
When my wife and I moved to Japan, we sold almost everything. House, cars, estate sale... almost everything!
Started looking for a car to purchase so we have one when we return. We are building a house so don't want to risk closing on the fact that we would be financing two newer cars. I and found a nice Aurora on Autotrader and, after reaching out to the owner, have agreed to purchase it! Seller is a member on this message board but I will not call him out until the sale is final or he announces the sale himself.
Looking forward to being an active member again. Wonder who else has been on the forum since before 2012.

Welcome back to ACNA! I hope that the Aurora you found is in good shape. Very. Less than 100,000 miles and in great shape! Should be picking it up on July 10th.

Welcome back to ACNA! I hope that the Aurora you found is in good shape. Very. Less than 100,000 miles and in great shape! Should be picking it up on July 10th. I suppose the people here from that long ago are those who have a passion for the Aurora or those who have the means to keep theirs running! I could buy a brand new car if I wanted, but am moving back to the states after having been gone for 2 and a half years. My wife and I are having a house built and we sold everything when we moved. So, buying an Aurora for cash will allow us to purchase my wife a new car and not affect closing on the new house. I'm willing to put a couple thousand into a car each year. It's a good plan for now. And, I REALLY liked my '01. So, I'll hang on to this one as long as I can.
