Need some help with a no start issue...

So... I'm having ignition issues on my 2001 V8. Sometimes when I try to start the car, nothing happens. If I jiggle the key a little bit, it'll start. Sometimes when I turn the car off, the radio won't turn off. I know about RAP and that's not the issue nor am i confused on how it works. I'm referring to having the door open and pulling the key out of the ignition. The radio will stay on. If I jiggle the key or cycle the ignition, the radio will turn off. So my question is, is it difficult to replace the ignition switch due to the PK3? or, is that even the problem? Could it be the lock cylinder?

I replaced my ignition switch a few months ago in my 2001. I wish my hands had been smaller, but it was eminently do-able once I carefully removed the dash around the cluster and radio.
