So little bit of a background on the issue. It all started with a little bit of a stutter at idle when I was at red lights or stop signs. So then it started getting worse and the engine started to feel like it was stumbling instead of stuttering. So I go ahead and I change the plug and it got better for a little bit. Maybe a week. But the problem returned. This time I changed the coil pack. And as you know, it's not just for one cylinder. So that seemed to fix the issue. But, a few days later the problem was back. The next step was to replace the fuel injector and while I was at it, I replaced the plug and the coil pack yet again. The problem went away completely. Three days later, the car started stumbling again. So in a last-ditch effort, I ordered some AC Delco spark plug boots from Amazon and lo and behold, the issue is finally resolved.
so, if you have intermittent misfires that cannot be solved by replacing a plug or a coil pack, try replacing the spark plug boot. It's cheap and it'll probably resolve your issue. If it's not, then you can start with a plug, coil pack or an injector. If you have any questions, I have answers LOL
