Bypassing or Replacing Theft Deterrent Module (TDM)

2001 Aurora 3.5

Condition: No crank, no start. Security light blinks and stays on. I've tried resetting my leaving the battery off for a day, but the problem persists. 
Via a Tech II scanner, I'm getting a P1626 DTC code P1626 - Theft Deterrent Fuel Enable Signal Lost.

The Tech II cannot communicate with the TDM. It reads "error communicating..."

Can the TDM be replaced or can the TDM be bypassed? This car uses the Passkey III system.

The TDM might have to be replaced. Google "2001 oldsmobile Aurora theft deterent module". A lot of sources will be pulled up.
