Ok, I am stumped again. Kid goes to take the rora and no dash lights. Everything else seems to be working. Thought it was a fuse. Can't find a blown fuse anywhere. I looked under the back seat and in the fuse panel to the left of the steering wheel. Can't seem to find a blown fuse. Will look tomorrow during the day, the Minnesota state birds (mosquito) were trying to eat me alive. Lost a least a unit of blood and could not find the blessed fuse. Any suggestions would be appreciated, other than use bug repellant. Lol

Lets start simple... You did try that rotary dial thing to the left of the steering column that controls the intensity of the dash lights right? Its right beside the twilight sentinel knob of the same vintage

JimW, 1st thing I tried, ran it all the way up till the interiors came on and no dash lights. Got to be a fuse (I hope) but I could not find it last night. Humidity through the roof and upteen million mosquitos trying to carry me off to the swamp. Was hurrying and may have missed a bad fuse. Will check again this afternoon. Thanks

The fuse panel door should have a diagram, failing that, check the owners manual for the diagram. Might be a good idea to invest in a shop manual(s) as well. Complex cars Fuse sounds like the right direction tho, I could understand one bulb going out, but the whole panel!?

Thanks JimW. I thought I had check the diagram but it was dark and I was working by flashlight. My son is going to get on it and pull every fuse in the dash panel as soon as he gets off work. I have had some cars where the diagram wasn't entirely accurate so this should overcome that issue. Am checking with the gentleman who had a set of 97 manuals on the market place site but haven't heard from him. He may have already sold them. I always try to get the manuals when I have a car I like to work on. Thanks for your help and quick replys.

Hey, MY son found the blown fuse. Thank you for your help JimW. I guess my tired old eyes just aren't what they used to be. Sure glad that was all it was. Next question is why? I am not going to worry about that right now unless it happens an awful lot.
