Here submitted for your approval, a story. Come with me as we enter another dimension. You are now entering The Twilight Zone. The time 5:30 A.M. Imagine, if you will (or not) Isnibs asleep, dreaming of a sexually active Spongebob Squarepants.... EDIT The nights quiet suddenly shattered by a 1996 Aurora's raucous security alarm. Actually as the high tone horn doesn't work it was more of a sad "parp parp parp". Upon inspection. Nothing. All locked up and secure including the trunk. Does anyone know how/why her security alarm could be set off like this.

Thank you for your prompt replies. I'm not sure about solar flares as it was night time and the sun had dropped below the earths flat surface. However Seasonal variations in the magnetic flux density of the Earth. the car was facing north.

Your right, there was one sighted at Leduc, Alberta, Canada located at N 53.18 W 113.49 for 2004/10/02 at 06:00 UTC Nearly exactly half an hour after my Aurora's visitation.

You guys and gals are all nutz Another alarm story..true this time as well I was in the backseat of the car tonight enjoying a "coffee" with the missus. And she asked for some motivational music. Or I wanted music...whatever. So I had previously locked the door with my number 1 key fob from INSIDE the car. A few minutes later I reached over to the ignition set to accessory and the car went berserk. Alarms, lights the whole shebang. So I tried the the panic button... didnt work. I evantually unlocked the door with the key fob from inside and the alarm cancelled. Then we had music and all was well. I just found it interesting that the alarm would go off in under that condition, but it made sense.

The factory alarm goes off when any amount of current flow is detected or if a closed circut is opened (ie the door opening). It doesn't really matter that you were in the backseat.

Does this mean you were using something electrical in the backseat?
