When I start my car, the drivers seat begins to jump. If I press the memory recall, it just barely moves. Sometimes going down the road, it will begin to move on its own !! Also, there seems to be a noise coming from under the seat, kinda like a clicking noise. I believe it is coming from one of the motors, but I'm not sure. I have looked all over the site and can't find anyone else with this problem. Is there anyone who has experienced this or has any knowledge? I would greatly appreciate any help.

It sounds like you have a short. Probably somewhere inside the rubber conduit that connects the driver's door to the car.

That may be a possibility, but the seat will jerk when going down the road and it only does it when the lights are on. My memory, the switch, and the heater all still work. It will also inexplicibly start moving on its own. All this while going down the road. Just today I was driving and TWICE it did it to me. The first time it started moving backwards. I almost couldn't reach the pedals, then when I was trying to get it closer to the wheel, it moved all the way forward. Almost pinning me against the steering wheel. Then when I moved the interior light dimmer, it worked long enough for me to put the seat back where I needed it !! I hope I didn't ramble on too much, but it's hard to explain. Thanks...

What omegiac said. Absolutely (can I get an Absolute?) first place to look is for a short in the wires that go thru the conduit between the front door and the door jam. This problem is so common that I wouldn't think it to be anything else. However the second place to look for a short is from the seat motor back. This would be easy to find as the wire conduit would probably be hanging down and catching somewhere as this area doesn't usually chafe on anything. Third place is in the switch gear, you should see any arcing there pretty easily. Fourth place is a motor malfunction, but I doubt it, they usually just break. P.S. Must make it really exciting to drive, maybe I'll mod my car to do it just to wake me up in morning traffic. Nah, on second thought that's for the pedal under my right foot. ;D
