Does anyone here have the bose system and has a 2001+? I need you to do me a big favor. I need you to tell me if your trunk looks the same as mine, or if you have an amp on the driver's side. I had thought the 'box' on the farthest right was the factory amp but the folks over to teh Bonneville forum believe that both on the right are for the onstar? I thought only the silver colored one was fo the onstar, not the far-right one... thanks to whoever can help me out!

Dude, sorry... I have Bose, but that plastic panel you pulled off? It kept falling off my car for a while. I finally got it up there to stay. No way I'm taking it back off...

Custom88.....According to pg. 8-461 & 8-462 of the 2001 factory manual, those are all Onstar components. The left one is the Vehicle Communication Unit for the cell phone. The right one is the Vehicle Interface unit, for the GPS, door unlock, etc. ________________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

Thank you! after looking around the car a little bit I figured that is what it was. Guess I'll have to be cutting into the factory wires. I need to get one of those service manuals so I know where the harness is routed for the stereo system. I'll have to keep checking ebay until i find one. thanks again.

If it is anything like the Bonneville, the BOSE amp is actually tucked in under the dash under the stereo and in front of the center console. I'd take a look there.

Good idea, but I'm almost positive on the aurora with bose it is in the trunk, mounted behind the rear seat just like the 2000+ bonneville. As for the non-bose the amp might be under the center console but I don't know why they'd do it with only the delco system and not the Bose. I don't want to rip up the console to check, but if you ever remove the radio let me know.
