I would love to help, but have never done it before myself. All I know is to buy a recharge kit a walmart ,autozone or somewhere are put the metal fitting over the small bolt on the ac line (there are two, one small and one a bit larger) and squeeze the trigger. it only takes about 2 lbs. or refrigerant.
what year is yours? mines a 97 and may be different then yours
rlouisa....add the refrigerant through the low pressure valve, with the engine idling and the air conditioning on. One very important point: always wear safety goggles like this when working with A/C systems. If you get any refrigerant in your eyes, it's goodby eyesight!
Thanks all. I picked up some r134a at the store and it was a breeze to do, and a heck of a lot cheaper. I also took the aurora to the dealer for the fuel line today and they fixed in around 1.5 hours. I was pretty impressed. IN the past week i have had the alternator fixed, new battery, alignment and rotate and balance, fuel line fix on the recall, and a full detail. Shouldn't need a new car for at least 2 to 3 years now. 110,000 miles on it and it is running like a new car. Other than this is there any other information sources out there like this for the Aurora? Thanks everyone..
