OK, IVE READ TONS OF POSTS SAYING THIS TRANNY IS ROCK SOLID. BUT I HAVE ALSO BEEN ON AUTOS.MSN.COM AND READ TONS OF ACTUAL REVIEWS FROM OWNERS THAT HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THIS EXPENSIVE TRANNY AT 80K MILES!!! MY TRANNY SEEMS TO SHIFT OK, BUT TODAY I WAS SITTING IN A DRIVE THRU WITH IT IN PARK RUNNING. WHEN I WENT TO MOVE UP, I PUT IN DRIVE BUT DIDNT FEEL THE SLIGHT GEAR STICK THAT YOU SHOULD FEEL WHEN GOING IN GEAR. I LOOKED DOWN AND YES, IT WAS IN GEAR. SO I GAVE IT SOME GAS AND NOTHING, IT ACTED LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. FINALLY WITH A LITTLE MORE GAS GIVING AND A COUPLE SECONDS IT STARTED TO SHAKE, THEN GO IN GEAR! ANY SUGGESTIONS? ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? ONCE IT GRABBED GEAR, IT SHIFTED THROUGH ALL GEARS GOING HOME FINE.

Soleniod. Good starting place, as well, when was the last time the tranmission was serviced? Filters, fluids etc?
btw, do not type in all capital letters. Most people dont respond well to being yelled at.

oh, sorry! I didn't know that was considered yelling. On one website i post on, it only allows you to post in caps! So, im used to it. For correct grammar, capitalization of a word is used to further express a word to grab the attention of the reader. Guess i grabbed attention! But what about the title of the thread? shouldnt that be capitalized? And the solenoid job is $500. I dont want to spend $500 on a guess. Can a trans shop determine if that is what it needs without tearing it up?

keep in mind i just got this car 2 weeks ago and tranny life states trans oil life 99%. who knows, it may have been reset. Fluid looks good, smells good, haven't tasted it ;D, but i did add a bottle of that lube gard which cools the tranny down and prolongs the life. its been highly praised by a few aurora posts.
