Lance, glad to see you too made use of the leftover wire. Such a conveient place for the battery when hooking up an amp and you got the added bonus of fabricating a grounding kit.

I added the cable from the strut tower today. Keep in mind my '95 had the engine and trans replaced earlier this year and everything was gone through. However, adding this one wire made a difference in the Voltage shown on the DIC. The DIC used to show low 14-volt and high 13-volt numbers with the all of the power accessories and lights in use. After adding the wire, the volts would not drop below 15.1 with the a/c on full cold, the blower wide open, the lights on bright and the car in drive. Used to have a little miss/vibration at about 1,000 RPM. That's gone. Car is absolutely dead smooth; with the car in drive and at a stop you can only tell it's running by the guages....

Check, cleaned and replaced sensors. So finally, it was a ground problem.. I replaced or/and cleaned them all in the end. Now she spinning like a cat again.

Decided to do this upgrade mainly because I was having the phantom multi-switch blinking lights syndrome. A $3.50 19" ground cable from Wmart connected to the coil mount and the strut mounting bolt ('98). The voltage was in the mid 14's and is now steady at 15.2,lights and radio on. The phantom has left without further incident but I can't say for a fact that this new ground was the cure. It is certainly worth the few dollars and 15 minutes it took to do it.
