joe,
Yup it is in a deeper hole and requires more pressure to operate it.
Zipzag, Is there an easy check to find out if the acuator is finished?

the only way is to remove the acuater and feel it through, manualy when you run it back and forth you can tell a good one from a bad one, acuaters are cheap , now also make sure the latch is closing completly over the striker , sometimes the latch will move up or it was not set proper at all

also to rule out your fob point it at the car and hold the lock and unlock at ths same time for up to 10 seconds and you will hear your car honk , your fob and car has now been reset if it happens again its your latch or acuater
