I e-mailed gmcanada.com from their page with reference to the Fuel Rail Recall on my 1996 Aurora. Within a few days I received the following reply. QUOTE " Thank you for your e-mail regarding your Oldsmobile Aurora. Our records indicate that there are no outstanding recalls on your vehicle. GM is very careful in the determination of affected vehicles. If a future recall involves your vehicle, you will be notified by mail. If you require further assistance, please feel free to e-mail us back by visiting our website at www.gmcanada.com. Thank you for visiting our website! Laura Shepel Internet Correspondent END QUOTE

chances are you WILL be receiving "further notices" regarding the recall.... i was told the same thing when i called GM about the recall, that "my car was not affected"...i got a letter about 1 month later saying it "was affected" and to get the repair done ASAP ...hopefully, you wont get such a letter, but i wouldnt trust GM when they say its not affected
