my oil leak on my 1995 is more noticeable now. it is dropping 1 or 2 drips every time the motor is shut off and maybe a little more. Would you think an engine sealer product would hurt it?

I once tried sealer for a power steering leak. It did nothing. The sealer for the engine oil leak is probably worthless also. _________________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

I don't know how much difference it will make, but for a couple bucks it's worth a shot. A little bottle of that stuff shouldn't make any difference with your 7.5 quarts of oil. Just keep an eye on your oil level, and an extra container of oil handy for topping off as necessary.

Kind of hard to keep an eye when the 1995 oil dipstick is incorrect

I haven't heard this story... an incorrect dipstick? I'm sure any GM dealer or gmpartsdirect.com could set you straight. How do you (or your local quick-lube place) know when the crankcase is full, when you change the oil?

The thing is, i dont know. Those idiots at the shop put 8 quarts in my engine last time and they said they didnt. They said they had to open another one to use like a few drops for the filter and charged me for that whole can. I dont care if they charge me for oil i didnt use, i was worried about my engine. I could not tell if it was the right amount or not. Worried my ass that whole time.
I told them specifically to put 7 quarts of mobil 1 full synthetic in and they did.
