The Northstar 4.6 on some Caddies can do that - they use the Climate Control centre. They should have put it on the 4.0 's as well. But that would cost the dealers money if they'd have done that!

I think the technique would be posted *somewhere* online if it were possible, and I've never been able to find it. I know many late-model Chrysler vehicles will flash stored codes with the "check engine" light, after a certain ignition jey sequence is followed (I did it many times on my old '96 Avenger).... unfortunately that doesn't help us GM owners.
