I think it may be the blend box under the dash. But don't take my word for it. I wish you good luck in finding the problem. Try reading these threads to see if they may shed some ligt on your problem.

sorry for the bad explination. heres the scenario....
car is at temperature... i turn the heat on i have it set to (lets say) 70 degrees i leave it at 70 for a while the driver side gets HOT THE PASSENGER SIDE FEELS RIGHT and can be controlled by the knob on the door panel to change the temp. it feels like i have no control over the driver side heat. i can have it set to 65 degrees and the passenger side is the only side blowing cold air. now, of course due to the weather in rockford,IL (around 05 degrees F) i dont complain about the 90+ degree heat. I am concerned however about the heat situation come the summer months when it will still be blowing 90 degree heat on 80 degree days. get me? so yeah. let me know if more info is needed. and yes, the car has been in an accident of sorts. thats how i bought it.
BTW, the passenger side of the car does not de-fog. does anyones car do this? i think something has been disconnected somewhere. not sure. thanks guys!!

I recall seeing some reset procedures for the blending doors on some Intrigue board somewhere... Dang if I can remember where, though. Apparently they can get out of calibration and it just takes cycling it through some thing where the doors move to their extremes for the car to relearn them. Ugh, I'll try to find it. Perhaps it'll cure the problem or perhaps the doors are stuck or the motor shot or something... Anyone else recall reading this? I hope it wasn't back on GMForums...

To reset:
Pull the battery leads and let the car sit for about 20-30 minutes. Reattach the leads on the battery and test. I
n most cases this will solve the problem with funky A/C operations.

I have a 97. When I did my multifunction switch the required me to d/c the battery I was scared for the same reason. In the owners manual, I believe it tells you how to retrieve the codes. If you have one then you can write it down. I didn't have a code (as you most likely don't) so I didn;t have to worry about it.
I think there is another thread on this topic on here. I will see if I can find it.

Maybe this is just a byproduct of cold winter weather? I'm not sure that the climate control will never blow COLD air (even set at 65 degrees), when it is 5 degrees outside. You might have to wait until warmer weather to see if the A/C works correctly.

This was posted awhile back. thanks,,,, im getting the radio for $50..... i hope to use this to make it work,,,, has anyone made this code work...>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> For those looking for GM Radio Theftlock Bypass instructions, here you go... 1. Press and hold presets 2 & 3 for about 10 seconds until the first 3 digits of the display code are displayed. 2. Write the numbers down. 3. Press the AM/FM button, write down the next 3 numbers. 4. Call 1-800-537-5140, when asked, enter 202107, press the # button and enter the 6 digit code from the radio, you will get an unlock code, write it down. 5. Go back to the car, press the HR button and set the first 2 numbers, then press minute button and set the next two last numbers, press AM FM button, SEC should be displayed, turn on radio. To remove customers code, repeat step 5. you should see --- on radio face, the code is now out of the radio. Here is the thread it came from. You may want to review it. When I d/c my radio I never got past step 3 because I had no code.
