As I drive down the road my DIC will flash a message that says "Stability Active" I know what this is for, but I also know it is supposed to come on only when the road surface is slippery and the car slips. It actually feels like it is slipping, but I am on dry pavement when it happens. It has been happening since it got caught in the tire groove at the car wash and started spinning to get traction to exit the car wash. The dealer can't replicate it, so they don't know how to fix it. (They even wrecked my car while test driving it. ) Can anybody shed light on why it is doing this and possibly how to fix it?

could possibly be a damaged wheel speed sensor or a loose conection. You could also have a bad sensor on the steering shaft. have them scan the car for codes to see if there are any error codes. It's a bad sensor somewhere though, that I am pretty sure of.

Probably the sensor but you can unplug the battery for 30 minutes to reset the system.

:They even wrecked my car while test driving it. What did they do to it? I hope they are repairing it!

Just a "fender bender" Has been repaired looks good as new.
They supposedly ran scan while driving and found no codes. I will try unplugging the battery and see if that works but I think it is a bad sensor. But of course that doesn't explain the fact that it slips when the light comes on.

They supposedly ran scan while driving and found no codes. It could still be a bad or malfunctioning sensor.

Okay just got the car back from the Cadillac dealer that Oldsmobile referred me to for warranty work. They had it for five days. The cause of the Stability Active message on the DIC was actually a bad Steering Wheel Positioning sensor. Why didn't I think of that?? (Like my friend Custom 88 did.)
