Folks, one of my original posts had to do with a dull thud like feel in the car after we purchased it. Everyone helped in the decision where we concluded it was probably coming from the now famous intermidiate steering shaft. Last weekend I finally got around to jacking the car up and taking a good look around. I haven't purchased a manual yet, but by simple process of elimination I figured out the intermediate shaft is enclosed by a rubber boot coming from the firewall and going into the steering rack. I decided that this replacement was going to take a little bit of time, so I put the car back on the ground. After that, the problem has been gone now??? It's like what the heck? Not that I'm complaining or anything, but could it have been something else?
