How long on average does it take your V6 engine to start? I don't know if I'm just not used to this engine, or if it really does take longer than it should. The average crank time is between 2-3 secodns before the engine starts. Seems pretty long to me. I'm used to teh 3800 where you barely touch the key and can't let go of it fast enough because the engine starts that fast.. the 3.5L doesn't seem to do that. So, how long does your V6 aurora take to start? If yours starts real quick, what could be some causes of mine taking longer? Thanks!

It used to take awhile to start - maybe 3-5 seconds (wintertime) when I got the car... sometimes it'd start and there would be a bit of a rough idle, some hesitation, and stall and I'd have to start it again.
Though I replaced the engine 4 months after I bought the car with a used 40k engine, so I never got around to figuring out why it always took so long to start. The new engine starts almost before I hear it turning over, like your old Riviera.
