Has anyone here replaced their hoses yet? My 2001 is going to be 5 years old later on this year and I've been thinking of putting in new hoses soon, along with a new thermostat.

I replace my upper radiator hose about 6 months or so ago. Went on easy.

Hey Marc, the hoses might last a really long time. They aren't like hoses from even the 80's. Newer hoses seem to last a heck of a lot longer than they used to. You might just inspect them and if they look ok, just change the coolant.

Aurora40.....The hoses look just as good as when I first got the car. They also feel OK. I squeeze them occasionally to see if they are still firm. I really never saw hoses being used for almost 5 years & still look & feel OK, so I was thinking of replacing them before they went bad.

mine are like-new still too. My aurora still feels so new to me though. It's the 'newest' car I've actually owned being it's only 4 years old. Last car was 7 years old (still had original radiator hoses as well and were just fine) and my first car was 14 years old by the time I sold it. lol That only had the hoses changed once in its late as well.
