Just a reminder because I think this was one of the posts Jim maliciously deleted... heheh If your not a full member of the ACNA it may be worth becoming one - because as the club grows more things will be happening, since we're still in a growing stages it's kind of quiet. All club members occasionally receive club updates from myself and have registered with me by sending me an e-mail confirming they want to be a full member. So if you don't remember sending me an e-mail (Auror_ah@hotmail.com) and want to receive my club updates and etc. visit www.geocities.com/aurorapride/join.html for more information.... Have a great day :0Þ

It was deleted, my bad. We have a member list beyond the forums. We kindly ask that any member that signs up on the forums also send Amanda a confirmation email to the above address.

Hello Aurora Drivers I have a 1995 black on black , had 1998 silver on gray . the 1995 is favorite for me wasnt governed which ment alot to me as Im on the I87 in NY alot . Ive taken the 95 up to 138 so far with no problem , I had to new ferrarri pulled up and i felt like cruising with him . but he wouldnt go past 110 for some reason so i left him .This is my favorite car for now and Ive had 18 cars till now im only 30 . The aero dynamics on the highway are sick . Thanks to this site I havent sold my car I started fixing things myself now . My lady started driving last year and got swiped in the door and then someone tried insurance fraud in the rain on her and that put a small dent in my hood . So the car was perfect . So now im savin for a custom black paint job and more for the car then I will post some pics . Sorry for talkin so much just never had any support with this car the GM dealers looked at me as if Id pulled in with their bottom line car all the time and that pisses me off . So if you see something that looks like a shark on the I87 comin up behind you please move Im not doing 75 I like to cruise at 95 . Oh anybody got any good ides for gettin the bugs of my front plate its getting to be a nuissance.

Welcome ny We all pretty much feel the same about our cars as you do your car, however your 95 isnt the only model year that can do 140 mph. Any Classic Aurora equipped with whats called the Autobahn option package has a 140 mph limiter 2nd gens are limited to 128mph.

I thought the 2nd gens were 138 or 139 or something?

Nope, governed by tires, the 4.0 may be different, with V-rated tires, but 128ish is H rated tires, and that what I thought 2nd gens came with.

oh, yes they come with H, which is 130mph/210kmh.. now that's not too high, I'm going to have to try one of these days and report back

The speed rating on the tire is just a general guideline on what they would handle for sustained speed in laboratory conditions under simulated loads (European testing uses actual road testing). A short duration failure test limit would be much, much higher on any tire. They had to govern the regular Classic because they made a decision to mount S rated tires on it, I can only asume for ride quality issues. So your H rated tire doesn't automaticaly blow up at 131mph, you could run it up to the max speed for a reasonable period with no problems. There is another limit you could get to running S or T rated tires on an Autobahn optioned Aurora which would be the safe handling limit. A softer sidewall tire can get pretty squirely at speed.

As far as I know it is still correct. Since you got the error, I guess your best bet is to either PM Amanda or JimW.

Since Amanda moved to Binghamton I think she has a new email address. At least it hasn't been connected for awhile. A PM to either J or A is the correct course of action.

What are the benefits of being a full member?

|
Post by erw38 on Jul 14, 2005 14:57:41 GMT -6
You get to say that you know me ;D
At one point there were supposed to be t-shirts, newsletters, group buys on new stuff and the such. Stuff is still being "debated" and "put together" so as of right now the only benefit is the best benefit, which is that you are a part of ACNA - the best Aurora club on the net.
