Nah, I had my Aurora since Feb, 2002, and this is my daily car.
I came across my Aurora because of an accident, see I used to own a 1999 Olds Intrigue, the Intrigue got totalled in an accident, so I had always like the Aurora ever since they came out in 1995, but you all know that the Classic back then was like 35K or 40K brand new, so I was like one day I will own one, so when my Intrigue was totalled, I decided to look for a low mileage Classic Aurora and I found this one at that time with 22,000 miles on it, I have 59,000 on it as of now. My Aurora came with the Gold Badges, non Autobahn, Non Bose System but has a bumping Kenwood eXcelon system on it with a Kenwood eXcelon 10 Disc CDR/CDRW/MP3 Changer, Chrome 20 inch Enkie wheels, A HELLA H.I.D. kit on it, and some L.E.D. interior lighting.

You put real deal HIDs in it? I think that’s awesome… what was the work involved in it? And if you don’t mind me asking what was the ending price on that. I am big fan of HIDs a couple of my cars have them and it’s well worth the investment!

I am big fan of HIDs a couple of my cars have them and it’s well worth the investment! Yup, I have a full HELLA Xenon H.I.D. kit in my Aurora, the work was real simple, it was basically plug and play, the kit comes with all the wiring, connectors and even some big cable ties. All that you do is unplug your stock bulbs, hook up the HID kit, matching all the wires to the kit, and your done. See a lot of people think that it's going to be complicated, but it's not, this kit that I have is truly plug and play. As for the price, after some discounts it came out ot less than $370.00. Here is what it looked like when it arrived at my house. I even when ahead and tracked down this ABS Ballast cover, which are good so the ballast don't get damaged or rusted by the weather elements, a good investment.

Yeah, I've been to Northbrook.
I was looking into the CORSA system for my Aurora, I hear that thing is amazing. But the thought of dishing out well over a grand, I don't know.

Magnaflow cat back cost me less then $1000 CDN installed, just as an option.

Hey Javi, welcome to the board. It's Bob (rjs200240). Glad to see you made it over here. All this talk about the cost of the Corsa... For a measly grand it has me grinning every time I floor it. ;D

It makes me cry when I think about the "it's only a grand" part. The Bose option on my car was $550 just for some better sound. If the Corsa option were $1000 from the factory for 10-15hp and much better sound, I'd consider it a steal.

I don't know about dropping a grand for the Corsa as of right now. But you have it, that's got to be sweet.

But for the BOSE option, I find that kind of a waste of money thought, with BOSE you can only do or go so much, I rather build my own system from the head unit, to some custom mounted tweeters and mids.

you can go alot farther than you think.... Acoustimass has a sound that fills up the car.. lower end aftermarket (I.E Pioneer, Kenwood.. etc) can't hold a candle to what bose offers, now upper hand aftermarket is a different story.. and the pre-cut door panels are almost exactly where they need to be for imaging (the 6x9's are a little too close together :\)

I think I like BOSE better in my house, like the WAVE Radio and the mini satellite speakers.

I'll second that motion, granted if I was really into audio in my cars, I would ditch the stock equipment, even if it is top of the line Bose Acoustimass.
For now tho, it pounds enough to keep me happy!

I see, if I had bought my Aurora and it had the BOSE system, I don't think I want to mess with, since it's kind of sensitive at upgrading or changing it to some aftermarket stuff.

Yea, whats up with that anyway?! Apparently if you pull the stock head unit you lose the date feature on the DIC. I know that happens but I dont know why. I've seen aftermarket decks in the classic and it looks a bit out of place. The only one that I REALLY liked with LoudAurora and his touch screen housed in the head unit location. I'd pass up the date feature to have a touch screen

yeah, i just put a deck in my car yesterday finally after waiting 3 weeks for my wiring harness in the mail, and i expected to loose the volume control, but... i lost the fan controls too!! has anyone else had this problem in the classic aurora?

I did, I lost the steering wheel controls and the DIC display too. Crutchfield has an additional wiring harness that is suppose to give you back some controls on the steering wheel, but at $70.00 something dollars, I don't think that wire is worth it.
