As the Aurora Club of North America, you might try to get production numbers and info by color/option/etc for the Aurora. It would be quite sweet to see all that. ;D

That will take a lot of information and effort, but yes its possible.
I have a few ideas where to look for the classic, what about the 2001+?

I just shot an email to a person listed as GM Communications contact for Oldsmobile. I'll see what happens. I've had success this way in the past, but only through lots of trying different people and waiting a long time. Back in the day, Olds had all sorts of wrong info on their site about the Aurora (wrong specs, wrong picts, etc). I got them to straighten it out, and they sent me some cool posters in return. I have low expectations I'll get the info, but hell, it doesn't hurt to try.

I have this info about 2001/02/03 production: 2001: 53,640. No breakdown between 4.0 & 3.5. 2002: 10,865. Of this number, 2289 were 4.0s, and 8576 were 3.5. 2003: Appx. 7900, all 4.0. My source for 2001 & '02 was Pamela I. Clarke at www.oldsmobileheritage.com Don't click on that URL; that site has been taken down. As for 2003, I had seen that figure on an auto news site, but I don't remember which one. 1995 to 1999 production figures are stated at the below noted site, which is really a site pertaining to car theft. (I'm happy to say that the Aurora is not popular among car thieves). www.ncbuy.com/auto/lookup_autotheft.html?year=1995&make=OLDSMOBILE&model=AURORA&x_______________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

Do you think Aurora theft will go up since it is now a "classic?"

2002: 10,865. Of this number, 2289 were 4.0s, and 8576 were 3.5. Geez! One of about 2300 cars... No wonder my dad and I had a hell of a time finding any used 2002 4.0s when he was looking. We saw more 2003's than 2002's, but mostly '01s. I wonder how many of those 2289 were Cherry Metallic? They dropped the color by 2003, so Cherry cars with chrome exhaust tips is probably pretty uncommon...
