Well, I had the privilege last night to drive around in a 03/04 Jaguar XK Convertible and let me tell you - it was awesome! It's on loan to us (my roommate [badsax] ) and we've been having the time of our lives cruising around in this car. It's got everything imaginable
On of my personal faves being the headlight button on the key fob the turns on only the HIDs and tilts them up and down - oh yeah can we say auto tilting headlights... too cool! Well I guess for 80k that's expected...

No foolin around with the XK Convertible! Only one thing I dont like is the wood grain flat dash, otherwise, its pretty perfect. I did see a new 645Ci today Enjoy the XK ;D

Amanda you are so lucky to experience that Jaguar. Your friend must be pretty trustworthy for someone to loan her that car. Why would they loan it anyways? I'm sure its got to be at least $120,000 here. I have a 1991 Jaguar Sovereign which gets driven mostly to car shows during the summer and stored in winter. My wife refuses to drive it. She says everytime it comes out of the garage something goes wrong with it. Unfortunately there is some truth to that. If your friend is up to Toronto see if she can loan it to me.

Oh wait a minute, is this the wacky lady that owns all the car dealerships?!
If so it doesnt suprise me one bit that she let you and Joe tour around in that Jag...maybe she'll llet you drive that wacky 300C, so you can see how brutal it is and we can try and convince everyone how horrendous that car really is...
But now I'm off topic!
Go jags!

Wait a minute...what's that about the 300c? Lord knows it's one ugly car, but is there something else wrong with it? Just curious.

i also like the 300C, nice cheap performance luxury car. (cheap compared to BMW, Mercedes, although, not as luxurious) I have a few friends that are interested in this car, i'm not sure if i'd rather get the Magnum or the 300C, that magnum would sure look nice dropped with some big wheels for that roadster chop-top look.
...now back on topic...
yeah, i wouldn't mind drivin' around in a Jag, heh, i wish my car had that auto tilt headlights, or rather for those people who don't realize they have their headlights on blinding Highs.

The 300C sounds like a winning combo to me. I just wish it weren't so art deco. I don't care too much for the exterior. But it's a cool idea.
Those Jag convertibles can be had for reasonable prices if you get a used one. Jag's don't tend to hold value very well as they have a pretty poor quality reputation and aren't all that rare (modern jags anyway). You could probably buy a nice one with low miles for about the price of a new Aurora (if it were still possible to buy a new Aurora).
