We're always talking about the Classic vs. 2nd-Gen Auroras ... has anyone here actually owned both? I know some people have driven each version on different occasions, but I'd actually like to hear from someone that has had several thousand miles of experience behind the 95-99 and 01+ steering wheels.

There's at least one guy on Edmunds that has one of each. I think he likes both of them. They are both pretty great cars.

Well now THAT is already well-known... ;D
I'd be interested to hear some of his thoughts on driving/owning the two different models. Maybe we can get him to join ACNA!

I don't know what the sales figures were - but there's quite a few 2nd gens here, but they all seem to be 3.5's. They must have sold more 3.5's than 4.0's.

But first, you need to demonstrate a spit-shine technique with Eagle One Wax-As-U-Dry... For 2001 and 2002, it seems like about 80% or so were 3.5L cars vs 4.0's. For 2003, it was obviously 100% 4.0's.

I've NEVER seen a 2nd-gen 4.0 yet in my area, all 3.5's... which is making me afraid that 4.0's will be VERY hard to find in 4-5 years when I'm back in the market for another car.
