1989 Lincoln Town Car (dark maroon, matching interior) - transmission out @ 140k 1995 Olds Eighty-Eight (black, grey leather) - totalled 1999 VW New Beetle (neon green, tan leather) - ugggg I couldn't take it anymore, traded for: 2001 Olds Aurora (sterling, dark grey leather) - wee ...college. No car freshman year But I'd say that's a good list as I'm only 18 years old

1995 Oldsmobile Aurora, Copper Mist, I think, on mushroom interior, every option except htd. sts. Owned for 3 years, and 34k miles (121k total on car) and counting.
Only car. Well, not totally true. I did have a 1995 Aurora, white on black, s/f only option, tranny didn't shift past 2nd, took it back, after 10 mins of ownership. The used car place had it in their "repairable" lot. Where they wouldn't let you take it out on the road. It had damage to the back, broken reflector panel, bend exhaust and damaged bumper. Thought that was why it was there. NOT! Thought it was a great find for $1900. Looking back now, problem was shift solenoids. Much happier with my car now anyway. Even with all its problems (or former problems, *knock* *knock*).

First car, white 1988 Buick LeSabre with the blue cloth interior. No options besides power windows and locks, tilt wheel, and rear defroster. The seats were not even adjustable. (could not recline, only move forward/backward.) (best, most reliable car too) Second car, Bergundy 1997 Supercharged Riviera with tan leather interior with all options included in the Prestige package. Third car, 2001 Aurora 3.5 with all options besides BOSE stereo and engine block heater. ;)You know everything else about it.

Here we go, not including my wife's cars:
1978 Chevy Malibu, auto, green on green cloth with anemic 200ci V6. Best thing I can say about this car was the heat worked. Forever changing tires and stabilizer links, vacuum hoses.
1975 Plymouth Valiant, Custom. Auto. Don't forget the Custom. I think that meant it had A/C. Also green on green vinyl. This was inherited from my grandfather. First exposure to slant six. Indistructible engine. Car never needed anything.
1988 Mustang LX 5.0L Convertible. 5 spd. Blue on gray leather. Great fun, loads of torque. Always driven sideways. Love the V8 sound. Engine was asthmatic at higher RPMs. First new car.
1982 Accord LX Hatchback, 5spd, silver on rust, winter sled for the Mustang. Thing ran like a sewing machine.
1990 Acura Integra GS Hatchback. 5spd, white on black cloth. Great engine. Handled like a go-kart. Sits about as low as one too. Had intermittent ECU getting hot and shutting down throughout my ownership.
1995 Honda Accord EX V6. Auto. Maroon on gray leather. Rust at 5 years old. Mechanically reliable but the body, paint and styling were terrible. One of the most boring cars I've ever owned. At least the Valiant had some character.
2001 BMW 325i, Steptronic, Sport package, cold-weather package. Light blue on tan Leatherette (fancy BMW word for vinyl). By far the best handing and braking car I have owned. The steering is perfection. Straight six is such a smooth engine. Should have gotten a standard transmission though. At the time, I was in a terrible commuting situation, however. Still own this, though a Z3 or Z4 would be a nice replacement. 2nd new car I ever bought. Car is so well balanced that with a set of winter tires it is actually a great car in the snow. As long as it is not too deep. The sports package gives it about 4 inches of clearance.
2001 Olds Aurora 4.0 (just picked up). Dark blue on gray leather. Notable options: OffStar, heated seats, high speed vibration. Working on this last one. Love that V8 sound. This car is really growing on me. I like the fact that it is a rare breed yet the parts are readily available, I think. This car needs some TLC with the front end.
Favorite car just beyond reach: 2003 BMW 530i Sport Package, Cold Weather Package with 5 or 6 spd. Dark gray on black leather.

First car, 1987 Ford Bronco II. This was one of those deals where I had to have it for 1600 bucks. heck of a deal. I spent more money in the six months I owned this vehicle than anything else. However, it looked cool, had 4x4, and the stereo i put in was LOUUUUUDDDDDDD ;D Second, 1991 Chevy 1500 Silverado 4x4. This truck was my baby for a very long time. I used to wash it once every two weeks regardless of how dirty or clean it looked. Ive tried everything and now shes to the point where I either ger rid of her or just stop caring so much. Dont have the money to restore it. But I want a 4x4 for winter and the hunting seasons. And finally my 95 Aurora...Wow. Thats all I can really say. Its amazing. ;D

This thread has been done before, with pics too. But here goes, in order of ownership (with disposition in parentheses): 1983 Buick Park Avenue (wrecked) 1973 Buick Electra 225 (sold) 1969 Pontiac Executive (still own) 1996 Dodge Avenger (technically my wife's, sold) 1992 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 - police package (sold) 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SLE (caught on fire, totalled) 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora (still own And my current company car is a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4. Notice that 71% (5 of 7) of the vehicles I've owned have been good ol' American V-8 muscle!

1957 Olds Super 88.....1961 to 1966. 1966 Cutlass Supreme....1966 to 1971. The only Olds that I ever hated. SLOW!!! 1972 442 W-25 455.....1971 to 2000. Drove it until it actually fell apart. 2001 Aurora 4.0....2000 onwards. Best of the bunch.

1971 Olds Cutlass, new, 4-door, gold with white vinyl top, Rocket 350 engine. Kept it ~20 years. The interior hard vinyl trim began to disintegrate into a white powder by the time I got rid of it. A lot of fun.
1969 Olds Cutlass, used, 2-door. Ugly green color body with uglier dark vinyl top. I'm really over vinyl tops. Not really mine, but my wife brought it to the marriage. We traded it for the...
1975 white Chevy Nova, new. What was I thinking? Three of us in the family now. Traded it for the...
1982 Olds Cutlass Supreme diesel, new. What was I thinking? Four of us in the famly now. When the diesel broke, my mechanic replaced the engine with a Chevy 350 gasoline engine. Got rid of it too cheap rather than add the emissions control equipment that would have been required to register a gasoline powered car when I moved into the next state.
1987 Plymouth Grand Voyager stretch minivan, new - Five of us in the family now. I'm very, very family man at this point. This car spent more time in the shop than any three other cars that I have owned. Fixed it up enough so that it would run and donated it to one of the used car charities at ~100k miles. I have never forgiven Chrysler for building a car that they couldn't fix. If not for their 7-year, 70000-mile warranty, I would have spent more on the repairs than the initial purchase price (pretty good warranty, though).
1989 Olds Cutlass Ciera, used - low mileage, with the 3800 V6. Really ran great when I donated it to one of the used car charities at ~100k miles when I got the 2001 Aurora. A good solid car that served us well.
1991 Ford Taurus, new, third driver added to the family. Eventually gave it to my oldest daughter.
1993 Ford Taurus, new. Rather than replace the AC I donated it to one of the used car charities at ~100k miles when I got the 2003 Aurora.
FIFTEEN YEAR UPDATE!!:
1997 Mercury Sable, used dealer loaner - fourth driver added to the family. I still have this car, my college son is driving it, 115,000 miles. No longer have this car. Can't remember how I disposed of it.
1999 Mercury Sable, another used dealer loaner - about this time, and for a short time, I had five drivers, and five cars, in my family including two teenagers. I still have this car, my college daughter is driving it, 90,000 miles. No longer have this car. Can't remember how I disposed of it.
2001 Olds Aurora, new, silver V6, the first car in 30 years that I bought just for me. My wife is driving it now, 89,000 miles. 200,000+ miles. My daily driver, again. But, my 36 yo son is driving it while he's sheltering in place with us.
2003 Olds Aurora, dark cherry metallic V8, new, 38,000 miles, my daily driver. 115,000 miles. Final 500 Garage Queen, only driven on weekends
Next?? - - My wife wants an economical, fuel efficient car for her next, maybe in 2007. And soon, both of my children will graduate from college. All three kids out of college now, and on their own. So, I guess in the next two years I'll get rid of the two Sables, get her a car, and I'll be left to wash and wax the two Auroras. Does it get any better than that? Yes, it does get better. Just wait a second.
2007 Subaru Outback, new. My wife loved it. (Well, as much as a non-car person can love a car, meaning she didn't hate it.) Private sale to my mechanic in 2017 at ~200,000 miles. Much less maintenance required than any of the Auroras.
1999 Light Antelope Metallic Aurora, used. Found it at a Ford dealership in 2009 with 60,000 miles. Now at 95,000 miles. My "retirement cruiser", named Andromeda, or "the ship that lived." So it does get better - now I have three Auroras to wash and wax!
2017 Subaru Outback, new. For my wife. That's right, ten years later we bought another Subaru because the first on was so blooming good. We have only ever bought two "foreign cars" in our lives, and they're both Subarus.
Next??? Well, I've promised my wife I'll get rid of the Auroras when we reach 80 years old. Time then to have all the possible safety features, imo. So I get to take my turn* for a few more years, hopefully.

Does this include my Hot Wheels and Tonkas??? No, you have to actually be able to get in it. So Soap Box Derby would count. I can't remember all of the cars. There were just so many. It started with a 1952 Chevy Deluxe with 32,000 miles on it. Other notables would be 1961 Lincoln Continental Convertible, 65 Goat, 1971 240Z, there were Cadillacs, Buicks, Hondas, VWs, Mazdas, Chevys, Fords, Olds, too numerous to mention. Oh yeah, and a rattle trap, gas hogging, repair ho, Aurora, which I liked best.

No, you have to actually be able to get in it. So Soap Box Derby would count. In that case, I use to have a go-cart with a roll cage. ;D

While the list itself is extensive, there is the not-so-little matter of condition. I had most of the early part of the list all at the same time in my late teens and early 20s. I was not, and still am not, made of money, so you can imagine that the condition of many of those cars was not too wonderful (especially since I lived in the salt-belt at the time). Most of those cars no longer exist. I still own the '69 H/O and the Aurora. The 68 H/O and 70 F85 W31 went on to other homes where they were eventually restored. The F85 is the one car I really wish I still had. It was a lot of fun, very rare, and different since it was pretty well stripped of options (except performance). I still have title and tags for a number of the rest, but no car. I forgot about another one I had at the same time as the '82 and '83. A '69 Cutlass S ragtop from New Mexico. It eventually went to a friend for restoration. I'm sure I had a couple of other straight parts cars as well I've forgotten about over the years. There does seem to be a little pattern, isn't there! My Dad was an Olds man and it rubbed off just a little bit mal
