I am going to say how much I picked up my 1995 Aurora for. Like I said million times (and on CarDomain.com) THE ONLY REASON I AM SELLING MY AURORA is to buy my Dad's baby blue 1963 Oldsmobile Satfire that he has had for 19 years(and I wan tot keep the car in the family). The ONLy way I can keep both cars(AUrora and Starfire), is somebody is willing to pay the fair vavle of my 1985 Buick Riveria ($3000-4500), which I will doubt that will happen. By the way the red 1968 W-34 Toronado is not for sale for two reasons, 1) I am still paying off theloan, and 2) I have willed it to my brother.

2001 - the year of the Aurora's rebirth. I just received the FULL Carfax report on my car. It was a one owner with complete maintenance records driven by a middle aged couple. They changed the oil on average every 2500 miles. With that kind of maintenance record, I feel confident that she has a very "young" 107K miles on her. And her interior is pristine except for a missing courtesy light cover on the front right door interior panel. ;D

2001, and I'm gonna have to disagree with the earlier fella who said the 99 is a much better car. The 01 is roomier, more comfortable, just as fast, has better technology throughout and looks classier (that last one is just my opinion).
The classics were nice cars in their day, but the 2nd Gens are just more car.
All Aurora's are sweet though - I'd take any year Aurora over any other American or Japanese car of the same year.
GM was absolutely bereft of their senses when they put the kabosh on Oldsmobile. At the very least, they could have continued the Aurora under a different brand name.

I've got a white '95 classic autobahn and have always been partial to the 1st. gen styling. However I do think they are too big and wish it was more the size of the 2nd. gen. Both are great cars in there own right and deserve to be called Aurora. ;D

My wife drives a 1999 Aurora. It has a little over 30,000 miles and looks great. It is black, with gold trim, sunroof and the Autobahn package. She leased it in 1999 and in 2000 went to look for at new one. Did not like the interior so we asked about buying the 99. The original dealer buy back price was somewhere near $23,000 but he offered us the vehicle for 18, 500. I jumped at it and have never regretted it. Never had a major problem, with the exception the horn does not work.

My wife drives a 1999 Aurora. It has a little over 30,000 miles and looks great. That kind of mileage on a '99 is GREAT! I've been searching for low-mileage Classics on and off lately, with very little luck.

I noticed no one owns a 2000 Aurora. Didn't they make them that year? No Auroras in 2000. They were retooling that year. Wasn't it in 1983 they did not make a Chevrolet Corvette for retooling and production delays/problems?
