The 13th looks pretty good for me. As asked, what time?
I'll bring the 500.
Will there be a rain date?

I have to work until noon, but work is about 1/3 of the way to Englishtown, so as long as ya'll aren't a bunch of early birds I'm good to go. And now that the Westchester component (Steven) is good to go as well, I'll give the new Eagle cheer...
"We're Goin'!!!"

The park opens at 9:00am. I'm going to call one morning this week to get prices if anyone is interested in running 1/4 mile, and to see what time would be best.

me run quarter mile ;D get some prices though and right now it looks good to go. hopefully nothing will come up this week that will stop me from going. that is about 50 miles from me however. Not too bad but premium gas is going up every day.

I think you can afford it. Just don't floor it the whole way there.

Actually I started a new job recently and now drive up 295 as apposed to local 25mph only to the old POE. 100mph is SO easy for the daily commute. Had it to 120 the other day above exit <xx> where the traffic clears out. Can you say "Cobra"?

lol. you have the autobahn, so thats an advantage over mine, i forgot i shouldve gotten that 1998. i still love my aurora hehe. ive had mine up to 97 or 98 before but it would NOT budge any farther and i had the pedal floored. bad thing is i stayed like that for 5 or 6 minutes and if a cop wouldve stopped me, i wouldve been suspended.

You'll be running a quarter while I'd be sitting there burning rubber with these POS Goodyears, zero traction for takeoff, zero traction for stopping, zero traction for turning. They do wear like the steel from Zodans sword. Maybe that's where they developed the compound for these rings of steel. They do spin up a ton 'o smoke at stop lights and Wawa parking lots, while standing perfectly still.
From the land of performance, not.

Bad news...we happened to pick the Saturday where the 1/4 and 1/8 mile tracks are being used all day. They have 6 different events happening this Saturday. On a normal Saturday they have 1 or 2 tops, and they'll get you on the track afterwards ($20 for the 1/4 mile BTW.) But the guy I spoke with told me that there's no way he can get us the track time. To make it worse, Sunday the 21st is the end of the season.

Hey - I wanna see pictures of all those Roras ! There must be some nice straight residential side streets around there - all it needs is someone with a stop watch. ;D

The meet's the thing. I can run a quarter any day at Atco, a couple of miles from me. Can you get an area reserved for parking together? Even for a short while. Preferable afternoon so's I can get in on it (working till noon). Also how about suggestions for itinery now that the day won't be used up waiting in a queue. Food? Drink? More drink? Who has (non hip hop) tunes? omegiac, got a spare radar gun? (Like they'd let you out of a patrol car with one, huh) If this were Texas (or Atco) we could just shoot road signs all day.

HEY GUYS...SO WHATS HAPPENING WITH THIS MINI MEET FOR SAT? WHAT TIME IS THIS GOING DOWN??? I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT, BUT I WONT KNOW UNTIL SOMEONE LETS ME KNOW THE TIME ( I MAY HAVE TO WORK) OH. BY THE WAY...THERE ARENT REALLY ANY "SIDE STREETS" NEAR THE RACEWAY!!! NOT ANY THAT YOU COULD RACE AROUND WITHOUT BEING STOPPED BY THE POLICE...BUT, AS LETITROLL SAID "THE MEET'S THE THING!!!!" SO LET ME KNOW,OK

Unfortunately I also have to work on Sat & Sun from 2pm on. I'd propose delaying the meet until next spring. The raceway opens in March, so perhaps I can reserve some track time for an "official" car club meet. That would be pretty sweet if we could have the track for a couple hours...

Punking out? Oh the shame, the shame of it all. As Lincoln said after the Union defeat at Fredericksburg in 1862, "My God, My God. What will the country think?"
Is anyone still in? I can be there at 1pm. Sunday is also good as the Eagles play Monday night. Oh that's right, the naysayers are probably all Giants fans anyway.
How about Sunday AM? Would free up time for omegiac and we're not running times anyway. The weather will be better Sunday and it would give the Giant fans time to get home to watch them lose..er, play. Could that work for Steven and Rocket? Who else?

OK, 1:30pm for all those with balls...er, OK rocketV8 too at Englishtown. I have no clue where to meet but I'll PM a couple of folks my cell #, reply in kind as you see fit. My car will be a mess with the current rains and AM work, so no time to primp. Here's a map: Directions from 33 east off exit 8 NJ pike to 527 north. At the Exon right onto Gordons Corner Road. 1/4 mile left onto Pension Road. Two miles to the track.
