There are 35 towns or cities named "Springfield" in the United States. Care to specify?

I knew some cross-posting expert would step up and fill me in. ;D I'd still like to know more about the cruise, especially since Springfield IL is about an hour from me.

the cruise for charity is a non profit org. that I think you pay 25 dollars to drive in. We start from some area north of springfield and drive all over town in a big ol' heard of cars of every type. We then end up at the car show which is usually the "motheroad" car show. And if so desired we enter our car into the show for what I believe to be a discount as high as maybe even free entry into the show. I might stand corrected though. But I would like to join in.

I say go for it, if you live there anyway. Sounds like a great event, and you'll get to meet all sorts of other folks who love their cars & driving as much as you do! Has this event been an annual one for several years? I think I remember hearing about something similar shortly after I got my '69 Executive (in 1996). I didn't head down that year either, but the premise was similar to what you describe.

yeah its been around for quite some time. I believe since maybe the 90's. I'm not quite sure on all the stats but that is the time I believe it started. And hey its for charity and you get to use your gas to drive with other people that are car crazy also.
