Wow whats the deal with so many putting Bonneville rims on thier Auroras? The OEM Aurora rims in the first gen are one of the things I really like about the car. I am guessing the Bonni rims are larger?

i have to agree with unirok on that one.....i really like the stock Aurora wheels, they really add to the car's sleek styling and luxurious curb appeal....the bonniville wheels look nice but i am going to definitely keep my Aurora the way it is

I am guessing the Bonni rims are larger? Nope same 16" size (although Jim's 00+ SSEi rims are 17"), I just like 'em better. The Aurora rims never did much for me. Plus the circumstances of my Aurora purchase left me with a perfectly good set of chrome wheels that I loved (my Bonneville was lost to an engine fire, but I was able to salvage the torque stars). I thought I would buy another Bonnie which is why I saved the rims, but ended up with an Aurora. Didn't really like the Aurora's non-chromies so ON went the chrome Bonnie rims!

And it looks great! BTW....I like your pinstripe. Yeah I forgot to point that out, since that topic came up recently and most Auroras don't have them. Mine came with a single gold stripe, which nicely right along with the body curves.

And a gold pinstripe on that color green really sets of the car nicely. I thought about adding a pinstripe to mine but dont think any color would go well with the chamagne metallic.

That my friend is an indian (native) Casino, called Casino Rama, located about 80-90 miles north of Toronto. Its pretty impressive, I loved the hotel. We stayed there last night after seeing Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood (from Who's Line Is It Anyways?). My girfriend even won $70.10 at the slots. Good times. I cleaned the car before we left and thanks to the more-chilly-then-usual weather, the bug effect on the front was minimal

I envy those who live in states or provinces that don't have laws saying you must have a license plate on the front of the car. I love when it is the naked front.

I live in New York State, which requires front & rear plates. Some years ago, I took the below pic of my 2001 without the front plate, with the front plate space filler. Looks much better this way, IMHO.....................................................

I still cant get over it.....
WHAT AN AMAZING CAR!!
I Love the Aurora..
It has everything you could possibly dream of and more. A powerful V8, a beautiful ride, a very nice stock audio system, comfortable seats with leather, sunroof (depending) heated seats (mine doesnt but its nice to know it was an option) Very unique wheels. And just an overall head turner.
What a beautiful car.

I still look foward to driving it. I have been driving since 1959. I have driven over 100 different cars in 46 years, ranging from the 1941 to the 2006 model years, and I think that in all areas such as performance, handling, interior comfort and the like, the Aurora has the best combination of everything."

Here's the most recent photos of my Aurora. They were taken today after I washed and waxed it. The interior also got some care as well with Armor All and the vacuum. And if you notice, my engine is a whole lot cleaner. Did it all my self. picasaweb.google.com/MrJohnMcClane/OldsmobileAurora2001

John, you car looks great! I love seeing other Oldsmobile families! You, A40 and I all own the same car as our dads, pretty ironic eh? Hey, I wouldn't mind if you posted some pics of the Silhouette.
