I just bought a set of bi-xenon projectors! They should be here in a week; I hope to stick them in over spring break next week providing it's warm enough out that I can ride my scooter while the Aurora is down for a couple days. I ended up getting this kit from a company called The Retrofit Source. They've gotten great reviews across the board at HIDplanet.com. They were very helpful on the phone too, and said if I had any questions during the install process to give them a call and they'll help however they can. I got the Bi-Xenon Mini Morimoto H1 kit, that's the one he recommended. In our headlights (or at least in the classic) there isn't a lot of space, so we need a mini projector for it to fit correctly. One thing that I know I'll have to look out for is separating the headlights properly. The side markers did just that when I was making the clears; they love to crack and run on you. Once I get it open though it's pretty much smooth sailing, according to TRS! I'll make a detailed writeup as I progress so that more of us can put these babies in. I can't wait to have a true cutoff!

The Bi-Xenon projectors are just that; they're a low beam and a high beam. There's a cutoff shield that gives the "perfect cutoff" that you see on the low beam. For the high beam it just raises the shield and projects farther.
The harness that it comes with allows for the stock high beam to be on at the same time as the raised-shield high beam for the projector so I'll just do that. The reason that I got the bi-xenon projectors is so that I could have a low and a high projector HID. Seeing as how I don't have another $275 for another set of projectors this will do for now. ;D
I can't believe you haven't done this, Rob! I'm finally beating you on lighting! ;D ;D

House? Pshhhhh. Just kidding! I hear you, man. If it weren't for my birthday I couldn't come close to affording these. I ordered some clear LED strips too... I'm going to put them in while i have the light housings open. Audi lights, anyone? ;D

Haha I'm not even sure if I'll like them... I'm going to use taps and quick connectors so I can unplug them if they look dumb. Haha

Very interesting. Had no idea that this could be bought! Let us know how it goes Collins. Will do! I'm told they dont come with 9006/9007 adapters collins I called and checked before I even ordered them. They come with a full harness for my car, it even allows for the stock highs to be on at the same time as the "high" setting on the projector. Check the posts above and the website for that matter. Who told you that?

I'll put these in the writeup, but here are some "before" pictures of my plug-and-play HID kit in the normal halogen projector. The spread may not seem too bad but when you compare it to the projectors it'll be night and day! BEFORE PROJECTOR PICS: (Plug-and-play HIDs)

Projectors are here! I'm finalizing the wiring setup now, making sure I can get the lights out without dropping the front suspension (lol) and then getting it done! I hope I can do it this weekend but in reality it may be a couple weeks before I get it done.
Pictures to follow tonight!

I'm even more excited to start it, I think! I have to do it soon, because apparently northofyou is holding me at gunpoint. ;D
The plan is to start Friday assuming all the wires are there... I'm going to call them and make sure. I may have to add a couple things according to the feedback I've gotten on the website.

I just called the guys and figured out the wiring issue. I need a diode between the headlight positive and the low beam relay positive to have them work properly, but that should be it! That's only because our low beam turns off when our high beam turns on.
That jumper wire and diode should fix it. Radio shack has the diodes in a pack of two for $1.69 so it's not a big deal at all. I can't wait to get them in there and fire them up! Hopefully I can start on all of that on Friday.
