www.nytimes.com/2009/12/19/business/global/19saab.html?_r=1&hpOK folks, now is SAAB Automobile history and the "phase out" starting after The New Year. They announced it today. The press here say that GM didn't like the Russia as a buyer. Anyway, what the reason what, SAAB Automobile can now shaking hands with our loving Oldsmobile in the heaven. About (or more) 8000 people, from the ground to the top, now gonna be out of job. Yes its a sad moment for us here in Sweden, but it was aspect. No buyer, no money. (30000 cars!!/year) Pontiac going the same way, and that is sad to. I am very very glad today that my wife now working on the Chevrolet Division and the future looks good. They gonna starting from the scratch and working forward. The future will tell and i am very positive about that. Can tell you that i have own lot of Volvo's but only older SAAB's as the 2 stroke 95/96 model and some V4 (96). I have even doing some rally in the woods with 96 models. I gonna miss SAAB as a Swede but not as a car. I didn't like the newer models, only the classic ones. Thanks, Arne

Another finger chopped off the hand of GM, what a shame. I can't believe that they couldn't come to some kind of agreement with a buyer, now they get squat.

GM probably wanted to scam the new buyers like they did the bond holders during the bankrupcy.

They failed to sell Saturn, and now Saab... Are they really trying to turn anything around, or what?
