All users are given a designation which is assigned to the user which is derived from how many posts a user has posted: newbie, watcher, and passenger, etc.
Is there a place which lists all the possible designations and the requirements to meet these designations?

To partially answer your question, it takes 1500 posts to be an "Absolute Aurora Fanatic".

I don't want a ranking. Can I get rid of my ranking?

every time this comes up I shed a tear for the previous rankings... Sorry man... I just don't think very many people "got" the previous ones. I don't want a ranking. Can I get rid of my ranking? We can disable post counts I think, but only across the board. Unfortunately Proboards doesn't allow such customizations for individual users. Sorry -

I don't even remember what they were anymore though... Mac, there's no way currently to disable it for one user, but we can check if there are any customizations that allow that.

hehe, kinda. I just feel like I don't contribute all that much to the forum, and I'm not really an "absolute aurora fanatic," and my post count/ranking/etc want to imply otherwise

This is not really a "designation" question, but hopefully close enough to not warrant a whole new posting: what is an "invisible user"?

This is not really a "designation" question, but hopefully close enough to not warrant a whole new posting: what is an "invisible user"? People can't see when you are on the board. If you look at the bottom of the main page, you can see who is online (and isn't invisible).

For the function of listing members for the forum, I noticed you can not sort by designation (position). Can this be added? This would be helpful to view the active members and their post.

I don't think so... that's one of the features that Proboards controls and we don't have "creative control" over.

You used to be able to sort members by number of posts. Now that we are "big", they disable it. Seems dumb to me since on a big forum is where it's useful...
