I FINALLY have a new set of lenses that I can ship out in a couple days notice! The program was down for the count for a while because of an issue with a member that didn't return his old lenses back to me like he should have so I apologize for the delay.
Because of this I have grown a little more wary. I had to eat the cost of another set to make in order to keep the program going, which ended up being the cost that I charge for the clears in the first place. So I basically made a set for free. Go figure. ;D
For those who aren't familiar with my "program" it's pretty simple. I have an extra set of lenses that I make into clears and send to you. You swap them with your stock (non-clear) lenses when you get my clears from UPS. This way your car isn't sitting without side markers for a length of time. You then send your old lenses back to me so that I can make another set for another member!
I now require a small core charge in addition to the normal price. I will hold it in my paypal account. It will never see my actual bank account; I don't spend it. It is simply a charge in case you don't return your old lenses to me so that I can buy another set and keep the program going. I can't afford to eat the cost of another set of lenses. This program hinges on you returning your old ones back to me! I will return the full core charge to you as soon as I get your old lenses back. Just let me know if you're interested via PM and we can work out the details!

Or you could just have Collins come from 2 states away and do them for you in your garage at 11PM at night lol!! Its free that way!

Or you could just have Collins come from 2 states away and do them for you in your garage at 11PM at night lol!! Its free that way! That's the best way to do it! ;D I considered the clears and the help with the rear panel to be a "room and board" charge for the duration of my stay haha. It was fun tho! Just for classics, or is this for second gens too? Currently it is for Classics only. I have never gotten my hands on a 2G lens to try it out. I'll see about getting a pair the next time I'm at a junk yard and take a look at them. I believe they have been done before but it's not near as easy IIRC.

Haha I wish! I just don't have the spare cash at the moment to buy a set of 2G lenses. Maybe someday I can get a pair. If anyone wants to donate an extra set for me to experiment on then feel free! ;D

The orange is alright. Lance and Don like the clears on their white cars, though!

Haha I'm confused... I made them both clears for their cars. I actually have a scar on my right arm from Don's bumper while I was installing his. ;D
But back on topic, if anyone wants a set of clears let me know!

hey, do you think you could have a pair for me by the MO meet. i can get them installed on mine at the meet sometime, and you can have the pair i take off, that way i dont have to pay the deposit and i might get some help putting them on. does that sound like a plan that you might be able to do?

Sounds like a plan! That just makes me laugh... Myself, Randy, Tracy, Lance, Don, and Rob all have clears. Now that we're adding you to the mix, no one at the car show will know that the Auroras didn't come without clear lenses! haha.
I got Lance a pair at the meet last year, and Don a pair at last year's Illinois meet. If we met up ahead of time we could even stick them in before we headed to Missouri! I'll have a pair for you, man.
